CUP signs MOU with PCFA

Tongatapu Campus: On Monday, 24^th of July at 2:00 p.m., the Vice-Chancellor of Christ's University in Pacific (CUP), Dr. Vili Saulala, and the President of the Pacific-China Friendship Association (PCFA), Dr. Hiria Ottino, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote capacity development of education for Tongan students through the relations of CUP and PCFA counterparts in the People's Republic of China.

Her Royal Highness Princess Royale Salote Mafile'o Pilolevu Tuita, Patrol of PCFA and President of Tonga China Friendship Association (TCFA) graced the signing ceremony. And accompanying members from TCFA included Saia Moehau, Siamelie Latu, and government representatives from the Ministries of Agriculture and Tourism to support the officiation of formal collaboration between the two parties.

PCFA and CUP will collaborate on sourcing a University in China to consider establishing a Pacific Maritime Pearl Road Research Centre in CUP, which will be beneficial to Tonga and the Pacific as a whole. This is a great academic opportunity for Tonga via CUP.
